At its 41st Assembly in Montreal, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)’s member states have committed to a Long Term Aspirational Goal (LTAG) to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2050. This agreement states aligns with both the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the net zero CO2 emissions by 2050 resolution agreed by airlines at the 77th IATA Annual General Meeting in October 2021.
