Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways, says the airline is pursuing acquisitions once again after it was beaten in its offers for Serbia’s JAT Airways, Air Seychelles and Greece’s Olympic Airlines recently. Al Baker says the airline is “actively discussing opportunities” with other passenger carriers and that “when we see that there are strong synergies between the two carriers we are open to investment”.
