Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has entered into an agreement to acquire 15 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from Boeing. This order is DAE’s first direct aircraft order and first direct 737 MAX purchase from Boeing. However, in the third quarter of 2020, DAE signed an agreement with American Airlines to deliver 18 737 MAX 8 aircraft via a sale-leaseback transaction. Since the agreement, the lessor has delivered 17 of the aircraft to the US carrier.
