China’s civil aviation authority has confirmed that a 737-800 aircraft owned by China Eastern Airlines has fatally crashed in the southwestern province of Guangxi in China. Flight MU5735, was en route to  Guangzhou when it crashed in the mountains about an hour after it took off from Kunming at 13:11 local time (05:11 GMT). Some 132 passengers and crew were on board – no deaths have been confirmed but they are believed to have perished in the incident. Flight data shows the aircraft descended sharply and media footages shows an explosion and wreckage in the mountain region in Wuzhou. China Eastern
