Freight airline and aircraft lessor Southern Air has signed a deal with Saudi Airlines Cargo to operate one of their Boeing 747 freighters on behalf of the Middle Eastern airline. The ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) deal will see the aircraft painted in Saudi’s livery and commence this month. Saudi Airlines Cargo has just announced that due to the high demand for air cargo from Asia to West Africa they have increased their capacity from three weekly flights to daily B747 freighter flights to Lagos, Nigeria.
