A DHL cargo 737-400 aircraft overshot an Italian airport runway before crashing on to a busy road. The aircraft was arriving at Bergamo Airport from Paris at around 4am this morning. There were no reported injuries or fatalities. Local media said the incident happened during bad weather. The landing gear can be seen lying on the road after being wrenched free from the bottom of the plane while another images shows a crumpled jet engine.
