The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has approved plans for China Southern to  establish a cargo subsidiary, based in Guangzhou, to be called China Southern Airlines Cargo. The new subsidiary will be 100% owned and funded by China Southern, and will operate Boeing 777 freighters.
