Cathay Pacific Airways has announced that it expects to a “small reduction” in cargo capacity in May to July 2010 because of delays in receiving its 747-8 freighters. The airline will take delivery of six aircraft in 2011 starting in the third quarter, and four in 2012. It expected to get five in the first half of 2011. Cathay has stated it will adjust maintenance schedules and increase aircraft utilization rates to offset any drop in capacity.
