Aeronautical Engineers has entered an agreement to provide Nigeria-based Allied Air with up to 4 AEI B737-800SF freighters. The agreement calls for 2 firm orders with an additional 2 options. The first aircraft (MSN 36746) will commence modification in mid-March 2020 and all touch labour will be performed by Commercial Jet in Miami, Florida. Allied Air, Africa’s first IOSA certified cargo airline, is a key operator in the region. Currently, Allied Air operates a total of 3 AEI B737-400SF freighters and flies for the DHL network within Africa as well as the Central Bank of Nigeria.
