UAE-based charter operator Acquiline International (Acquiline) has acquired three aircraft from Russia’s defunct airline TransAero. Apart from the three Boeing 747-400 from TransAero, it has also acquired a Boeing 777-200ER. All four aircraft are currently in passenger configuration. Acquiline’s CEO Roman Trandafiloff has stated his belief that demand for the aircraft type will return as most of the airlines retire the fleet mostly due to pandemic, he wrote in a LinkedIn post. Aquiline operates, leases and charters own fleet of aircraft on ACMI, damp lease and dry lease. Its current fleet consists of a Boeing 747-400F and two Boeing 747-400BCF
