On October 31, Xiamen Airlines officially launched the Xiamen-Doha flight route. This marked the first direct flight route to Doha from Fujian Province, China. There are two flights every Tuesday and Friday between Xiamen and Doha operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The launch of the Xiamen-Doha route will complement with the Beijing-Doha route.
