Second-quarter income for United Continental Holdings was down 37% to $339 million compared to the year-ago period. Revenue grew by 1.3% to $9.94 billion. United Continental blamed the profit decline of more than $200 million was due to one-time charges associated with the integration of United Airlines and Continental Airlines. Second-quarter operating expenses for the combined company were up by 4% to $9.36 billion and operating profit was $575 million, down 28.8%.
