WIZZ AIR GROWS PASSENGER NUMBERS BY 16% in June

In June 2016, Wizz Air launched eight new routes to/from Hungary (x2), Romania (x2), Poland (x2) and Serbia (2x) while the fleet increased to 69 aircraft with the delivery of an A321ceo. Capacity rose 15.3% year on year for June 2016 to 2,194,110 seats, while passenger numbers increased 16.2% year on year to 2,013,032. This sent load factors up 0.8 percentage points to 91.7% from 91% for June 2015. On a rolling 12-month basis, capacity is up 18.7% while passengers are up 20.5% with load factor up 1.3 percentage points.
