Norway’s Widerøe  said it carried 2.5% fewer passengers in March 2023 compared to March 2022. ” This is partly due to Widerøe having 1.2% fewer seats available in the market in March compared to the previous year” and the increases in capacity offered by rival Norwegian airlines. “Widerøe has lost some market share in March,” the carrier said in a statement, adding that fuel price rises had pushed up fares and made it difficult for Norwegian carriers to make a profit.
