Southwest and Virgin America are vying for control of two gates at Dallas Love Field. Virgin America claims the US Justice Department has backed its to get the gates, while the city of Dallas claims Southwest Airlines should be given control. Added to the mix is the claim by Delta Air Lines that it should have access to the gates, and has told the city of Dallas that it should not approve a sublease of the gates and should instead make the gates “common use”.
