Spanish low-cost airline Volotea will introduce five additional Airbus A319 next year making a total fleet of 38 aircraft. The airline has said that the move to add five Airbus A319 aircraft comes at a time where it will phase out three Boeing 717 in 2020 accelerating the transition to become an Airbus fleet airline in 2022. The airline’s other major plans in the year 2020 include adding three new bases in Naples, Lyon and Hamburg as well as launching 53 new routes.
