Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, has suspended Vladivostok Avia’s air operator’s certificate (AOC), as of August 15th.According to Rosaviatsia, the Russian Far East-based carrier did not have the necessary aircraft to operate its scheduled or charter flights, and the carrier’s financial situation was continuing to deteriorate. Its fleet of six Tupolev Tu-204s has already been returned to the lessor.Vladivostok Avia ceased operations several months ago following the November 2013 launch of Aeroflot’s new Far East subsidiary Aurora Airline, which took over Vladivostok Avia’s routes, crews and part of its management.At the end of 2011, Rostec Corp. transferred 52.156% shares
