Another computer system failure has caused Virgin Blue to cancelled more flights and shut down its online bookings for three days. A similar outage occurred last week which the airline solved by switching back to its primary operating system, but it seems that system has also failed. Some 16 flights were cancelled and online flight bookings cancelled until this morning, which the airline hopes will limit problems for passengers. The outage is expected to cost the airline millions of dollars in lost revenue and more in compensation payments.
