Virgin Atlantic has suspended its London Heathrow-Hong Kong services and closed its Hong Kong office. The airline stated that it does not plan to resume flights in March 2023 as had been planned primarily due to the closure of Russian airspace. Virgin Atlantic flights to Hong Kong have been suspended since December 2021. “Significant operational complexities due to the ongoing Russian airspace closure have contributed to the commercial decision not to resume flights in March 2023 as planned,” the airline said.
