United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby has expressed newfound faith in Boeing after meeting its newly appointed leader. Kirby said that he was “encouraged” by the American OEM leader Kelly Ortberg’s words. He added: “I also came away with a renewed confidence that Boeing is on the right path and will recover faster than most expect.” The aircraft manufacturer named its new leader in July 2024, with Ortberg succeeding Dave Calhoun. Ortberg served as CEO and president at Rockwell Collins for five years from 2013. In addition, he helped navigate the company’s integration with United Technologies and RTX until his retirement
