On Sunday morning, United Airlines first 787 Dreamliner aircraft took off from Houston with 219 passengers and CEO Jeff Smisek cheering it on. “It’s been a long haul to get here,” said Smisek.. “We couldn’t be more excited to be the North American launch customer of the 787. Cheers!”
