United Airlines was forced to ground all of its mainline aircraft yesterday for more than 90 minutes, after it experienced a technical issue with its computer systems. “We experienced a network connectivity issue,” United said in a statement, while United president, chairman and CEO Jeff Smisek told The New York Times that the airline was “working on a root-cause analysis to tell us what it was” that led to the disruption.
