Lufthansa Group’s  SWISS is to use artificial intelligence (AI) to count passengers during boarding. The trial use of AI will be on “selected flights” between April and June. SWISS said it intends “to enhance security and simultaneously ease the workload” for cabin crews. The carrier said it would prioritise data security and data protection while being in “full compliance with Europe’s and Switzerland’s strict data protection laws throughout the trial process”.
