Southwest leads another round of fare hikes

Southwest Airlines raised fares again yesterday – adding $10 per round trip on about 10% of its routes. Delta Air Lines, US Airways, JetBlue, American Airlines matched the increase on some routes while United and Virgin America hiked fares slightly hirer than the Southwest benchmark. There have been four broad fare increases by US airlines this year.
