SOUTHWEST FEBRUARY TRAFFIC UP 13%; DELTA CUTS CAPACITY

Following on from our news feature on Monday morning: Southwest traffic in February rises despite continuing fare increases. The airline flew 13% more customers last month than in the previous year. However fare increases have not been enough for Delta President Edward Bastian, who is looking to cut cost by reducing flights and grounding 120 aircraft, half of them 50-seat jets used on short hops that use more fuel.
