Sky Bahamas is poised to begin construction on its new $1.4 million hangar at Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) next month. The new hangar will enable the airline to conduct maintenance on its aircraft fleet at night, rather than during the day as it does currently, increasing fleet utilisation and efficiency. Currently, Sky Bahamas does not fly to the US on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, when scheduled maintenance took place.
