Shanghai airports serve 5m passengers in April 2015

Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) handled up to 37,245 aircraft movements in April 2015, an increase of 14.5% compared with the same period last year. Passenger numbers at the two airports rose 19.9% to 5.03 million. Domestic passenger volume rose 24.3% to 2.54 million, while the numbers of international passengers rose 20.5% to 1.98 million. Cargo traffic increased 4.6 percent to 276,500 tonnes, among which 207,500 tonnes were carried on international flights.
