Ryanair carried 11.8 million passengers on over 68,200 flights in January 2023, up 68% on the same month the year before. The Dublin-based carrier reported a load factor for the month of 91%, up 12% on January 2022, when traffic was “affected by EU governments Omicron travel restrictions”. The airline recently announced a record quarterly profit of over €200 million and said it expects a strong performance in 2023. The January 2023 passenger number was a slight increase on the 11.5 million it reported for December 2022, which in turn was a 21% increase on December 2021.
