Rahul Bhatia appointed MD of InterGlobe Aviation; posts profit

InterGlobe Aviation, the parent of IndiGo, has appointed its co-founder Rahul Bhatia as Managing Director with immediate effect. The Indian company has also posted a profit after tax of Rs 129.8 crore in the three months ended December 2021. Shares of InterGlobe Aviation, were boosted by over 9% on the news. The results were boosted by higher passenger revenues, with revenue from operations increasing to Rs 9,294.8 crore in the latest December quarter compared to Rs 4,910 crore in the same period a year ago.
