Qatar Airways pushes ahead with Indian arm

Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, has confirmed that the airline is pushing ahead with plans to take control of an Indian airline and is poised to order 100 aircraft before the end of the year. Al Baker says he is confident India will soon allow 100 percent foreign ownership of a domestic airline, “It could be this year,” he said. “It depends how fast we can arrange our application.
