The Pakistani government has postponed plans to privatize Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) due to “legal obstacles in finalizing the transaction structure”. This is the second time the timeline has been delayed, while the airline continues to post losses. In the first quarter, PIA lost PKR2.1 billion ($206 million) – with total losses to date are $2.1 billion.
