Cathay Pacific Airways carried 2.9% more passengers in December than in the same period in 2009. Cathay credits strong demand for holiday destinations and long-haul routes. For the full year 2010, Cathay Pacific’s passenger figures were up 9.1% to 26.80 million, with cargo tonnage up 18.1% to 1.80 million metric tons. Cathay Pacific’s passenger load factor fell by 3.8%, however, despite the strong passenger figures due to increased capacity.
