Singapore Airlines has said that it is still in the “initial set-up” phase of the plan to launch a new low-cost carrier and was quick to deny local media reports of an April launch date. The new airline was reported in a local newspaper to be launch with one Boeing 777-200 aircraft and add more within three months of an April launch, with the fleet rising to a total of 14 Boeing aircraft by the middle of 2016.
