UAE flat carrier Etihad has opened a new office in Turkey, demonstrating the importance of the country as a destination. Fatos Kutay, Etihad’s director in Turkey, said the company contributed to improvement of commercial and cultural relations between Turkey and UAE. Etihad Airways began flights from Abu Dhabi to Istanbul four times a week in June. It flies to several destinations from Istanbul including Australia, Asia and South Africa including Sydney, Melbourne, Beijing, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Johannesburg, via Abu Dhabi.
