Due to the continuing tension between China and Japan over a chain of disputed islands, All Nippon Airways (ANA) has confirmed that it has had 40,000 seat reservations cancelled on flights between Japan and China from September to November. Japan Airlines has already cancelled some of its daily services between the two countries, while Chinese airline Juneyao Airlines has delayed the launch of its new four times a week Shanghai-Okinawa route to November and Spring Airlines has cancelled 10 charter flights to Tottorri.
