Malaysia Airlines is planning to use its remaining A380 as charter aircraft for mainly Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage traffic to the Middle East. The airline has confirmed that it will not be  reconfiguring the aircraft to add more capacity as original planned. The airline will set up a charter unit for the A380s, with further details expected to be announced soon, according to a statement. The company recently signed a three-year agreement with Andalusia Travel & Tours to transport Malaysia pilgrims to Medina and Jeddah from August 2018 to 2021, using its A380s.
