Lufthansa has given a June 1 2023 date for the previously-announced resumption of flights using the Airbus A380 aircraft. The dusting-down of the 509-seat wide-body jet comes after a three-year interruption. The A380 will be deployed on the daily Munich-Boston route in June, followed by A380 flights from the Bavarian city to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport Bookings will open on March 23, the German carrier said. The return to action of the A380 comes after a rise in demand for air travel and what the carrier said was “the delayed delivery of ordered aircraft”.
