Korean Air has reported a net loss of KRW251 billion ($216 million) for the second quarter of 2016, which has widened the KRW169 billion net loss reported in the year-ago quarter. Operating profit rose during the period however to KRW159 billion from an operating loss of KRW3 billion in the prior-year period.
