LAN shareholders approve TAM merger

Shareholders of LAN Airlines have approved a merger with Brazil’s TAM. Last month, the merger was cleared by Brazil’s top antitrust court, Cade. Chilean antitrust authorities had previously approved the business tie-up. A ruling by the Chilean Supreme Court regarding the airline’s appeal of three measures imposed on the merger by Chile’s TDLC antitrust court is expected in January.
