Kingfisher Airlines has grounded 15 aircraft but it is not yet known why or for how long they would be out of service. The airline is currently battling with debt and Indian media sources suggest the aircraft have been grounded as Kingfisher has been unable to pay maintenance and overhaul expenses. The consortium of lenders led by the State Bank of India is attempting to help the beleaguered airline, although it has not been disclosed by what means.
