Jetstar International and Jetstar Asia carried a total of 3 million passengers in the last 12 months compared with Qantas International’s 1.9 million. Qantas continues to lose passengers on overseas routes. During October, Jetstar transported 758,000 overseas compared with 499,000 on Qantas. Jetstar’s passengers rose by almost 100,000, whereas Qantas passengers numbers declined by 1.2%. Domestically, Jetstar experienced a 7.8% growth in passengers for the year to October, while Qantas Domestic traffic dropped by 4.6%.
