JetBlue August traffic up 6.7%

JetBlue Airways has reported that its August traffic increased 6.7% percent from August 2013, on a capacity increase of 4.9%. Load factor for August 2014 was 88.3%, an increase of 1.5 points from August 2013. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 99.4% and its on-time performance was 77.4%. JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) for the month of August increased four percent year over year. For the third quarter of 2014, PRASM is expected to increase between two and three percent year over year.
