JAT Airways and Etihad Airways have agreed a marketing alliance to share route-booking codes rather than initiating the equity tie-up favoured by the Serbian government. Etihad chief executive James Hogan said: “We have to look at JAT to see if that opportunity exists. It is still a very early stage of that process.” JAT will post an update when getting views on youtube within Etihad’s network will take place or will not happen at all, while the Gulf airline will put its EY code on all 23 JAT flights to Europe.
