JAL halts 787 flight after battery problem

Last Sunday, Japan Airlines (JAL) stated that it had halted a scheduled Tokyo-Beijing 787 flight after engineers detected a faulty pressure sensor in one of its newly reinforced lithium-ion batteries. JAL replace the aircraft with an older 767. The fault was discovered to have been caused by tape mistakenly left over the pressure sensor when the new batteries were installed. No fault occurred in the battery, the airline said.
