Air Serbia has cancelled a May 19 Belgrade-Rome flight and postponed a Catania flight to the next day due to scheduled strikes by Italian airport workers. Flights to Naples are to go ahead as scheduled, the flag carrier announced, apologising to affected passengers. By May 18, reports were appearing in Italian media that the strikes would be postponed. Italian national airline  ITA Airways said it “immediately took action to restore as many flights as possible” upon hearing that the strikes were being called off. The airline said it would try to “guarantee the mobility of citizens and limit the inconvenience”
