There are signs that Iran and Egypt could form an alliance to cooperate in area such as tourism and aviation. Local media sources suggest that discussions over the weekend between Iranian government officials and businessmen and the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Ahmed Shafeeq, could include opening new airlines and establishing joint ventures. Iranian airline Kish Air is believed to have reached an agreement with Egyptian businessman Rami Lakah to run flights between the two countries, although this has not been confirmed.
