The International Air Transport Association’s quarterly business confidence survey states that even though profit margins continued to be squeezed in the second quarter, confidence has returned and so too has expectations of profitability. While fuel prices are still a concern, traffic demand is strong with almost three-quarters of the carriers surveyed reporting increases in passenger and cargo demand. Employment numbers were also expected to continue to grow.
