International Airlines Group – holding company of British Airways, Iberia and Vueling – reports that its passenger traffic rose 7.1% during July compared to a year earlier, but passenger load factor dropped 1.7% during the month to 82.6% from 84.3% in July 2013.In a statement, IAG attributed the decline in load factor to a capacity increase, in which available seat kilometres rose by 9.2% to 23.49 billion from 21.51 billion a year earlier.IAG said the increase in passenger numbers carried during July was driven by increases in Europe, North America and the UK, Spain and Italy.
