Hong Kong Airlines has been forced to deal with stranded passengers following the walkout by many of its ground staff. Ground staff were reportedly struggling to cope with delays and flight cancellations caused by Typhoon Vicente. Some 80 ground staff are usually on duty but since the pressure to deal with stranded passengers, workers dwindled until only about 50 showed up on Saturday morning. Ground staff only returned to work after being urged by senior management. In the meantime, 18 flights were delayed for more than an hour and 12 were canceled, stranding hundreds of passengers.
