Greenland government takes control of national airline

The government of Greenland will take 100% control of its national airline. Naalakkersuisut, the Greenland government, has said that it will acquire Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) 37.5% and the Danish government’s 25% shareholdings in Air Greenland. It’s reported that the Greenland government will pay DKK277 million ($41.3 million) for SAS stake, marking the end to the airline’s shareholding in the carrier which dates back to 1960.
